Tike's is a small town, family-owned business located in Cohasset, MN. We are state inspected 5 days a week & we are a wholesale meat processing plant, specializing in wholesale & retail meats.
Tike has lived in Cohasset most of his life and grew up right behind Harold & Sally Schafer's mercantile store on the Mississippi River. After working there for a few years, he began working at the Red Owl. There he was trained in on cutting meat and making sausage.
After working many years at the Red Owl, he then worked for Jerry Miner at the Piggly Wiggly/Super Value/Cub Foods..
During that time, Tike opened up his own business at his house processing venison and wild-game for the locals. After many years of working for Jerry Miner, he then decided to open up a booth at the farmers market in Grand Rapids, selling his locally-known-for smoked meats.
In 2018, Gary Lee Bales asked Tike to put retail meats in his two stores (The Pokegama Lake Store, Grand Rapids. & Frontier Sports, Marcell).
Since those 2 stores, we have expanded into 20+ stores in Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas.
